Accessory Dwelling Envy ahead!

GOALS: Two bed, two bath home with generational living in mind; RV garage with outdoor space.

BUDGET: $270,000

This new construction project was all about aging in place, no stairs required, doorways to accommodate a wheelchair, walk-in showers and closets, and minimal maintenance. Local county guidelines limited the living space within an accessory dwellings to 1,000 sqft and the footprint to 2,000 sqft. For the living space, I efficiently fit a generously sized primary ensuite bedroom, a second bedroom and bathroom, full kitchen, dedicated dining and livings spaces, a laundry nook with storage, and a mudroom off an attached single car garage. At the back of the living area, sits an additional RV garage complete with half bath, heat, and a covered patio.
